Let’s dance!

A DJ with over a decade of professional, international experience. A true lover of music spending many years singing in bands. Starting off as a Vinyl DJ, Em learned to mix before auto-sync even existed and believe there is magic in the tiny imperfections of mixing the wax and invested many years honing her skills.

Em's passion for EDM was ignited when her groovy Mama gave me a Leftfield CD in the late 90s. Thanks, Mumbelina! Years later Em, was kicking around the Gold Coast with my former husband Dan Walker (The Beat Traffickers) and his buddy Beau Velasco (The Death Set) and feels fortunate to have had two amazing artists mentor her in the art of mixing.

The years Em was an emerging DJ, she lived in the colourful musical hub of Sydney, which nourished a swathe of new electronic producers and DJs in the early nineties. Fanatical about the emerging breakbeat sounds spilling over from the UK scene, Em started incorporating these exciting new sounds into her sets and worked steadily towards her dream of becoming a pro DJ. Underground warehouse parties, private events and Sydney clubs and bars slowly gave way to festivals and residencies at uber-cool nightclubs.

With a thirst to keep progressing, Em made the big move to London in 2004 where she found a home working with Paul Arnold from Fat! Records and held a residency at the highly prestigious nightclub, The End. Here Em shared the wheels of steel with the most esteemed DJs in the breakbeat genre – The Freestylers, Friendly, Soul of Man, Drummatic Twins, Bushwacka, Tayo, Evil Nine, Deekline, General Midi & Aquasky. Em has been fortunate to play many gigs across the UK and Europe – Portugal, Hungary, Spain, Germany and Ireland.

Em always strived to be a great example of female empowerment by mastering her craft especially considering EDM has long been a male-dominated industry. Em returns to her DJ career as a more mature woman with a tonne of life experience and passion ready to fire up the dance floor.
