When asked to describe his DJ style Katch sums it up as Drumfunky. I seem to play more stuff with the focus on the drums and percussion. With a career spanning 3 decades, local Brisbane Icon, has played across Australia and the globe. A music tastemaker, his sets cross fusion genres of rhythmic beats from Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Boogie, house, Afrobeats and world beats.

His acclaim across the Australian music community has earned him a place as one of the great Djs in the country. Katch’s sets have been quoted as eclectic and ubiquitous, that takes you on a musical journey from start to finish.

Running the independent Label, Hydrofunk Records, now in its 25th year. Katch thrives on utilising Hydrofunk to share and spread the love of his music from all corners of the world…

Co-founder of Resin Dogs, the band being in hi demand throughout the early 2000s playing every major festival across Australia.

With the gold selling debut release ‘Grand Theft Audio’, winning best Live Act 2 years in a row, as well as taking out best Hip Hop Act and best live Act at the DMA (Dance Music Awards).

Resin Dogs have released four critically acclaimed albums, with their latest release being Notorious D.O.G in 2018. Which won best Hip Hop song at the 2019 QMAs for the single “Pack your Bags”

Katch is a 3 times Queensland DMC champion 89-91 and placed in the Top 5 Djs in Qld for the In the Mix’ Awards. 2002

Founded the “Phat Tape Hip Hop show” in 1990 on community radio 4zzz, hosting and producing for the first 11 years of what would go on to be a 25-year show.
