Amela

Amela is a indie-pop singer-songwriter based on the Gold Coast, Australia. Music has been an integral part in Amela’s life since a young age. It all sparked after her first singing lesson at 9 years old, soon learning the piano, flute, guitar and cello. In Year 12 she was flown over to Los Angeles to record her first EP with ties to Disney.

In 2017, she was granted a Gold Coast Music Award finalist alongside Amy Shark for her success in music. Her single “Push & Pull” from her debut mini-album ‘Somewhere In Between’ received high rotation on national Triple J radio, as well as online music hype. Further successful collaborations include renowned hip-hop artist Allday sampling Amela in “Codeine 17” and "If Not Now, When?" as well as collaborations with producers including Astre and Clovr receiving over 150,000 streams on Spotify.

Amela comes to the forefront with impressive releases including “Dnm” and “I'm Alright”, leading to festival performances Woodford Folk Festival, Bleach Festival and Jungle Love music festival.
